The Anker 332 is a five-port USB-C hub: one 4K HDMI output, two USB-A ports, a USB-C data port and 85W pass-through charging. It is the small, cheap fix for a laptop with too few ports, and the one thing to know is that the HDMI port is version 1.4, so a 4K monitor runs at 30Hz.

What does the Anker 332 hub do well?

  • Adds two USB-A ports for a mouse, keyboard or USB stick to a USB-C-only laptop.
  • Drives one external monitor: 1080p at 60Hz for most office screens, or 4K at 30Hz.
  • 85W pass-through means the laptop charger plugs into the hub and the hub into the laptop, one cable at the desk.
  • Compact enough for a staff kit bag.

No Ethernet, no SD card slot and no second display output; for dual monitors and wired networking, Anker's 8-in-1 dock is the step up. Pricing reads: See current price on Amazon. It is part of our office tech kit for a 10-person office in the everyday tech category.

Who should skip it

Anyone needing two monitors, Ethernet or 4K at 60Hz should buy a proper dock rather than this hub.
