Brother ADS-4900W

The ADS-4900W is a workgroup scanner rather than a desk scanner: 60 pages per minute, a 100-sheet feeder, a 9,000-page daily duty cycle, and dual-band Wi-Fi alongside Ethernet and USB 3. Brother lists it at $799.99, verified in August 2026. It launched in 2022 and has no successor, so it is still the current model rather than end-of-line stock.

The feature that earns its place in an office is the 56 on-screen shortcuts. Each one is a saved destination and format — a SharePoint library, a cloud folder, a searchable PDF to a particular mailbox — so scanning becomes one button for staff who will never open the software. That is what makes shared paper intake work in practice: nobody has to remember the process.

Be honest about the volume threshold. Below roughly a thousand pages a day this is more machine than the work justifies, and the ScanSnap iX2500 at half the price is the better buy. The bundled PaperPort and Power PDF software is also dated; treat the purchase as hardware and keep your existing document tooling.
