The Homey Pro (2026) is a closed-box smart-home hub that speaks Z-Wave, Zigbee, Thread, Matter, Bluetooth LE, 433MHz and infrared, with a visual Advanced Flow automation editor and more than 100 local apps. The December 2025 refresh doubled RAM to 4GB. The one thing to know: you are paying for polish over a cheaper hub plus dongles.

Is the Homey Pro worth the premium over a DIY hub?

  • Priced around $449 per the listing's pricing line, raised from $399 on 1 June 2026 because of RAM and storage costs (reported by Forbes, Android Authority and T3); the Homey Pro mini is $249.
  • Trusted Reviews, The Ambient and Matter Alpha's 2026 reviews call it the best hub for power users.
  • Local automations keep running without the internet.
  • Reviewers flag that its Thread border router cannot join an existing Thread network, which limits range in a mixed setup.

For a small office wanting one box for every protocol without configuring Linux, it is the polished option. More in home automation.
